We chose OAAC to fit out our conversion after extensive shopping around and the choice was based on our 12 years experience with our previous van (LeisureDrive).
We narrowed our choice down to 2 converters and then had long talks with both of them, it soon became clear that Luke & Dan were both on our wavelength.
We're delighted with the finished product and the journey to get there was made easy by the help we got from Luke to source our base vehicle.
And the after sales help we've had from Jasmin has been heart warming.!
I could go on, but you can probably tell that I'm a happy customer.
And now, 12months since purchase, and having had 120 nights in it (almost all of them in various EU countries) we're loving it even more.
....update, Now had 170 nights in our lovely van, just left Montenegro to start our trip home after visiting 9 countries on this one trip.
Clearly the interior fit out by OAAC works for so much more than weekend trips!

I had my campervan built by Out and About Campers nearly four years ago. They delivered superb service, listening and discussing my needs, to ensure that I had the campervan of my dreams and within my budget. I have visited a few times since and most recently to investigate my leisure battery failing. Their after service is as friendly, welcoming and thorough as their sales and I have been grateful to receive this continued support when needed.

Its been a year since we collected our conversion from OAAC and still 100% happy with our choice. Its been put through its paces as a family van and has proved to be everything that we hoped it would be.

Most conversions that wed previously hired/viewed had been dark inside with black/dark grey linings and interiors. We wanted a home from home and the warm colours and bamboo work surfaces that OAAC offer delivered exactly that. The reupholstered seats were a fantastic addition from Bob next door.

The team were great from start to finish, offering ideas, guidance and updates throughout the process. A couple of minor issues (LED striplight coming loose) were quickly fixed. Another great feature of OAAC is the annual habitation check, where the van gets checked over for function and faults, which then extends the conversion warranty for a second year.

Would happily recommend to anyone looking for a top quality van conversion.

Id like to say a massive thank you to the staff at Out and About Campers. They were so very helpful, not pushing for the sale. Very informative and Theo who was dealing with me was so knowledgeable and nothing was a problem.

I cannot recommend Out and About Campers enough, fantastic people to deal with, very innovative, great quality workmanship, kept me informed right the way through my conversion which I collected on Thursday 17th April, it was built on time to a very high standard. We collected our campervan last week and are thrilled with the conversion. Everyone involved at Out and About Campers has been amazing Theo was so knowledgeable and helpful at the start and in sourcing our van, Jasmin was a star helping us with choices and answering questions along the way, not to mention all the guys who worked on the van including Bob who did the upholstery! The team at OAAC provided a fantastic service from the first moment we met them. We were able to design our dream campervan from start to finish with the team helping us to source our van and make all of the decisions about the design of our camper. After doing a lot of research we came across Out and About Campers. And what can I say, it was love at first sight. These guys know and love campervans. This is clear from the beautiful designs, the thoughtful approach to making van life that bit more comfortable and the little extras that they add to the design. We bought 'Ziggy' and she is beautiful. Easy to drive, easy to use and so comfortable. We are delighted with our purchase.

After lots of searching ready made campers and not finding what we wanted, we saw Out and About at the Bath and West show. Loved what they had to offer so said YES. They invited us to see the workshop and helped us with choosing optionsnothing was too much trouble. We sourced the transporter from VW approved and they even looked at the advert/video and said it was a good buy. They kept us posted with photos etc as the build progressed and we picked Freddie up in January. Weve done a few trips away, including 3 weeks around the UK and loved it all. We would definitely recommend Out and About if you are looking for a great camper van with excellent build quality and fantastic customer service. Thanks to Dan and the team.

I could not speak more highly of Luke, Rob, Dan and Jasmin and Bobby with the interiors! I only went out window shopping old vans. I came across OAAC by accident when I took a wrong turn on an industrial park and I fell in love with their workmanship. They were all so kind and accommodating and informative! A real pleasure to talk to all of them and they really took their time. I was spur of the moment and they helped me source a brand new van immediately and we agreed colours and style. Any time Ive had a query theyve been great on email and calls and going that extra mile. My van wouldnt start to day (I dont know why) and its a van engine issue but still Luke and team were there to suggest ideas. And the interior is AMAZING and I love my van so much!

Having some camper van knowledge , we were recommended to visit OABC for an initial consultation and armed with a list of questions.Theo was very patient with us and took us through the whole process, showing us the workshop s at every stage , including the partner upholstery workshop.We tried a Rib Bed which was perfect and all our questions where answered for now .
We have a rough plan now that needs fine tuning , decisions on colours and finishes need to be made .
So great to meet the team and they all made a fuss of our old dogs which was a bonus .
You can really see why this was a award winning small business too .

Where do we start. Out and About Campers are a young company but they have taken customer service to a whole new level. Theo who took our initial order after answering every question we had clearly and comprehensively and Jasmin who guided us through the conversion process were first class and very professional. We had a little interaction with the other members of the team but they were all very enthusiastic about their work and the amazing conversions they create. I had a T6.1 converted a couple of months ago and having road tested over the Summer we are still as ecstatic about the van as the day we picked it up. Great service from the minute you walk through the door right to post pick up. The quality of the build and the design is in a class of its own. Would highly recommend.

Wow!!! Just about sums up our new van! Dan, Luke, Jasmin and the team are all so friendly and offered so much advice and ideas on what to choose and what would work well when we were choosing our fittings for the van. Everything looks amazing, works well, top notch quality with no corners cut either. Have had several nights away in our van and we couldn't be happier! Sue and I couldn't be happier with our (yet to be named) camper. We were after a cross between a day van and fully fledged camper van, but without the wardrobe as we thought it would be slightly claustrophobic in the rear for any passengers we may be carrying. We found OAAC, and from the first meeting knew they were the ones to carry out the conversion. Nothing was too much trouble, even if we popped in unannounced. Even a viewing of the machine shop was interesting and welcome, having been a machinist in a previous life. Weekly updates with photos was great to have. Once we had seen the finished conversion, we knew we had made the right choice. We are now in the process of filling it with essentials. And, probably loads of non essential doll related paraphernalia!! :(

After 18 months of research, planning & visiting various conversion companies, we knew from our first contact that Out & About Campers was our choice.
