The Company was founded in 1920 in Biggleswade by Ben Mantle. From a firm foundation it grew successfully and held franchises for Austin, Morris, Riley, Wolseley, MG, Standard, Triumph and Rover. In 1953 Ben's son Ian Mantle diversified and formed Mantles Caravans. This business expanded and the Company became significant caravan retailers and mobile home site operators.
