Launched in 1970 by British Leyland, the flagship Land Rover model is now in its 4th generation and has extended the range to now include the Range Rover Sport, Velar and Evoque. In this time the Range Rover has truly evolved with the times and the industry starting out life as a functional vehicle with vinyl seats, plastic dashboard and designed to be hosed down and has now become a true powerhouse in the luxury vehicle market. This model is also no stranger to performance with the Range Rover having won the 1979 inaugural and 1981 Paris-Dakar Rally.
