Pendragon PLC has come a long way since its de-merger from Williams PLC in 1989. The company has acquired companies and brands over the years, to further strengthen the choice to customers and potential to investors. Pendragon became a public limited company when the vehicle division of Williams PLC was de-merged in 1989, operating 19 car dealerships, representing specialist and luxury franchises, as well as a small contract hire business. We acquired the Stratstone brand, enhancing our relationship with Jaguar and Land Rover, and establishing our presence in London.
