Watson Clive - Doncaster

Starting out as a sole trader in 1982, I worked within the motor trade for 6 years buying and selling cars from the trade to the trade. In 1988 I turned into a limited company and changed the name from Clive Watson Car Sales to Portland with the aim of concentrating on selling quality cars to the retail customer at discount prices with minimal overheads ultimately saving customers money on quality retail cars. By 1998 the company had flourished and we started to import new cars from overseas as well as going upmarket in the quality of used cars that we sold, selling cars from 5,000 to 105,000.
